Leaping Lizards!

A German field research team led by Dr. Frank Glaw from the Zoologische Staatssammlung in Munich have discovered four new species of dwarf chameleon during a recent expedition to Madagascar. One of the newly discovered lizards, Brookesia micra, reaches a maximum length of just 29mm.

While not the world’s smallest lizards, a distinction held by a gecko that measures in at a diminutive 18mm, the chameleons may well be the worlds most adorable reptiles.
